Dirty Paws Studio

Recording  |  Mixing  |  Producing  |  Mastering.  One of my top goals is to help you deliver what emotions you felt when writing and performing your music and translating those thoughts and emotions into an audio vision you'll be proud of.  I look to enhance your music, its mood, and portray your songs just as you imagined them.

Furthermore you will get :
  • Hours of attention to every ingredient in your piece and patience on every demand.
  • Warm, crisp, big, fat, punchy, clear, hot, smooth, wide, open, full and optimized sound.

I'll work with you along the way so if you're not satisfied, then I'm not satisfied.

Here's how it works...
  • Send me your stems without any processing (44.1Khz at 24 bit is ideal)
  • Provide a couple of reference tracks that have a sound that you are looking for
  • I'll send you the mixed version for you to have a listen and provide feedback
  • I'll make your requested tweaks and send it back again for additional feedback

If you're not satisfied, then I'm not satisfied.
How to Prepare your Track for Audio Mixing
I ask that you export separate WAV files for each audio channel (stem) where each instrument and vocal has their own track.  Please name your tracks appropriately (kick, snare, guitar, glockenspiel, kazoo, lead vox, etc.).

All audio channels need to have your mix plugins (EQ, reverb, compression) removed.  Other creative effects such as delays and filters can be kept.

Before exporting the audio files, please make sure there's no processing (EQs, reverb, compression, etc.) on the master bus.

Audio Levels
Please ensure that no audio channels are peaking any higher than -10db before exporting.  If you record the audio too loud, it will affect the quality of the final audio.

Rough Mix & Reference Tracks
It is encouraged to include your rough mix and some reference tracks that have a sound that you are looking for so I can get an idea of what you are looking for.

Tempo
It's important to let me know what tempo your song is in. That way I can line everything up perfectly.  Sometimes I can figure it out myself but if you know it, just let me know.

    File Submission

    If you know it.
For studio session work, I can record tracks for you such as vocals, guitar, mandolin, ukulele, piano, synths, alto saxophone, etc.
