10 Minutes

If 10 minutes was all you had, what would you do with it? What would you say? Where would you go? What would you see? Where would you spend that precious time? We'll never know when our last 10 minutes will be. We'll all have our own 10 minutes. When not knowing when that will be, does it make it easier or harder? I think it makes it easier in a way because you don't worry. You don't ponder. Maybe you do. Maybe you don't. You could sit and ponder, or you could live like there's no tomorrow, or only 10 minutes.

Would you filter your mind? Would you filter your words? Would you let it all out before the clock strikes ten? Would you whisper, would you scream, would you listen, would you feed any means, would you holler on the mountain or stroll through the stream? Would you take apart your brother's bike and fix his broken sprocket, or would you ride together into the ocean with a frog in your pocket? Would you try to be better even though time is waning? What's the point you ask, but the truth's in the telling. Would you take a chance even if you could fail? I think I would, just in case I prevail. Would you hug your favorite person, give a kiss on the cheek, or find the lover you sought out to seek? A lot can happen in 10 minutes time. You'll have to believe me. Have you got the time? I don't know what's next, but I know where I am. I'm in that moment that always stays with me. Perpetual in its instance and honest what rhymes with moment?

If 10 minutes was all you had, what would you do with it? What would you say? Where would you go? Would you go outside to play? Like you did as a child, with the wind in your curly hair. I'd imagine my whole life in an instance and smile.

"You did alright kid," I'd hear him say to me.

A tear would form in the corner of my eye.

I'd listen to the wind for a heartbeat and a whisper. I'll do that right now. Why not? You never know. I'd listen to the wind for a heartbeat and a whisper. I'll do it right now. Why not? You never know. You never know, so you should just keep going.
Keep moving.
Keep pushing.
Keep living.
Keep breathing.
Keep wondering.
Keep wandering.
Keep loving.
Keep hugging.
Keep listening.
Keep talking.
Keep sliding like a child forever in life's playground.
